- 1. 1 FILM NAME TO BE DECIDED 1 FADE IN: INT. HOUSE - DAY AJAX is hunched at the front door. He is gripping the handle tightly whilst holding his stomach. At his feet is a present. AJAX lets go of the handle and pulls a mobile from his pocket. POV PHONE "Hey, I got here a little early, I¡¯m just past the top of the high street." AJAX holds his head and slowly descends to a crouch, trembling. Placing the mobile back into his pocket, AJAX picks up the present in one hand, rises and reaches for the door handle with his trembling hand. EXT. HOUSE DRIVEWAY - DAY The sky is dim and the street lights are on. AJAX walks out the door and over to a car on the driveway which is already running. INT. CAR - DAY AJAX/late teens/wearing a casual outfit consisting of some jeans, a grey shirt with a blue jacket. AJAX open the car door and is greeted with his older sister ZOE who wears black trousers and a white top. ZOE Did that door get stuck again? AJAX sits, placing the present onto the floor and begins to put on his seat belt. ZOE You ready? AJAX looks out of the window and glances at the house. He drops his head again AJAX Mmmm. ZOE Well don¡¯t sound too enthusiastic. (CONTINUED)
- 2. CONTINUED: 2. ZOE glances into the rear view mirror sets off. She notices the present at AJAX¡¯s feet. ZOE Thought you were going shopping? AJAX nods his head, continuing to stare at the floor ZOE Who¡¯s the present for? AJAX Ella. I¡¯m meeting her somewhere in town. ZOE So... you¡¯re on a date with her? AJAX looks out of the window, ZOE smiles to herself and continues driving. AJAX¡¯s phone vibrates as he receives another message from the girl POV PHONE "Everything okay?" ZOE Where are you meeting her? AJAX looks out of the widow, observing all of the people in the street AJAX Could you take me home? ZOE But what about Ella? AJAX I can¡¯t do this. ZOE turns to AJAX AJAX Can you take me home, please? Zoe parks the car in a bay and switches off the engine. She turns to AJAX. (CONTINUED)
- 3. CONTINUED: 3. ZOE Does she know? AJAX No. ZOE She needs to. If you want this to work you will have to tell her. AJAX I don¡¯t think she will understand. ZOE Maybe that¡¯s what she needs. AJAX looks away and out of the window. ZOE Give her a chance to not understand you. AJAX Looks down out of the window, the back up and spots a girl wandering around the car park. ZOE You don¡¯t really want to go home. AJAX Yes I do. AJAX watches as the girl still wanders around. She walks past their car and AJAX opens the door and watches as she is reunited with her mother. AJAX looks a little resolute as he goes to shut the car door. ZOE Don¡¯t forget your present! AJAX opens the door to grab the present. Zoe smiles as AJAX closes the door again. In the street AJAX wanders and begins to search for ELLA before seeing her at the corner of a building. ELLA is wearing a white top with blue jeans. She wears a light coloured jacket and leans against the wall with her foot pointed towards the ground. ELLA spots AJAX and smiles. (CONTINUED)
- 4. CONTINUED: 4. ELLA Hey, i¡¯m so glad you made it! AJAX passes ELLA the present. AJAX releases tension in his muscles as he does. ELLA Aww, thank you so much! ELLA hugs AJAX, looking up at him AJAX I have something to tell you ELLA You don¡¯t like crowds? AJAX Not particularly ELLA Then lets go somewhere quiet -END-
