WHO WE ARE
The company has been active in the
IT business since 1984.
In the past, it has applied its
expertise to the design and
implementation of IT communication
systems, including fax systems,
vocal systems, etc.
Between 1994 and 2002, Datex
focused on the development and
implementation of SETHI, a
management software application
addressed to telecommunications
companies, whose success over the
years led to a total of over 1,200
workstations being installed in 10
European countries.
Datex has actively collaborated with
a number of European clients, taking
responsibility for the management of
IT-related functions such as
company databases, customer care,
call centres, billing and marketing.
Over the years, the company has
acquired great expertise in the
development and implementation of
CRM products, primarily in the areas
described above.
More recently, Datex has worked on
projects in different markets (contact
centres, multi-utilities, university,
private post services, auction houses,
etc), coordinated by sector companies
requiring specific management
applications.
The satisfaction expressed by its clients
over the years and at the European

HISTORY
1984 Datex Italia is born as a software house
specialised in the creation of software for
chemical and pharmaceutical companies. In
the following years it is involved in the analysis
and development of software processes in
locations owned by clients, including a number
of large multinationals of the sector, such S.P.A.,
Takeda, Solchem, Beecham, Simes, Zambon
Farmaceutici.
1990 Datex begins addressing the
telecommunications industry, developing several
computerised systems for the management of
incoming and outgoing faxes. These products
soon see the addition of IVR vocal systems,
which are bought and installed by important
clients, including Borland Italia and Politecnico di
Milano.
1994 Datex Italia becomes a limited company,
changing its name to Datex s.r.l., and starts
developing SETHI, an innovative management
application addressed primarily to
telecommunications companies. The application
mainly covers CRM and invoicing functions, and
Datex s.r.l. is asked by US multinational Viatel
Inc. to install SETHI in all its European offices.
1996 Having consolidated its product, Datex
successfully focuses on acquiring new clients,
installing SETHI in all the European offices of
two further multinationals, Axxon Telecom and
Econophone.
1998 Other important contracts are signed
both in Italy and with foreign companies (in
Greece, Spain, Germany, Holland, Austria,
Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France and
Belgium), and licenses sold soon add up to
approximately 1,200 in 10 European countries.
1999 The installation, implementation and
maintenance of the product is carried out
directly by Datex personnel in the European
offices of the companys clients.
2002 Datex accepts an offer from a big
company  which confirms Datexs excellent
track record over the previous years  to sell its
business tied to the SETHI application.
Management of the product and of existing
contracts is therefore conferred to the buyer.
2003 Datex focuses on offering consulting to sector
companies and collaborates in passing on the know-
how tied to SETHI. Datex also offers technical support
to companies active in the field of technological
innovation geared to the development of added-value
products in the telecommunications business. The
development of STINGER begins, a CRM application
specifically addressed to companies active in the
telemarketing, geomarketing and contact
management businesses
2004 Datex is involved in the TRANSITO project for
the development of innovative software in the field of
multi-modal traveller information services, distributed
by Tempo s.r.l. Some of the innovative methodologies
implemented are internationally patented. SAM, a
complete solution for Auction Houses and Antique
market is also developed.
2005 Datex works on an ad hoc software
development, specifically addressed to postal
services private operator. It manages customers,
billing, routing, parcel tracking and the entire
franchisee network; application is installed to first
customer, an important national player with over 30
offices.
2006 A contract is signed with Universit Bocconi, for
the development of different applications to create and
manage a virtual portfolio, based on market prices
analysis and analyst reports. SMSg platform is
acquired by B2YOU for Grattachetipassa project, a
multimedia GSM/UMTS contents portal.
2007 An important contract is signed with G&H
Partners (Zurich), to develop core software
application, to manage company business (diamonds
market). Activity is fully supported from stones mine
extraction to final sell.

BRUNO ROTA  CEO
Self-employed in the Information Technology
sector since 1990, in association with Datex Italia,
a software house specialised in products for the
chemical/pharmaceutical industry. Started own
business in 1994, as founder and CEO of Datex
s.r.l., for which he independently laid out
corporate development strategies. Focused
Datexs business on the telecommunications
market, with the aim of creating and developing
specific management software (billing, CRM,
business process automation). Subsequently
guided the products penetration of the European
market, acquiring a prominent position; this
allowed him to develop an important network of
contacts throughout Europe, and to gain
experience working in close contact with the
management of large multinational corporations.
Has gained in-depth experience, at the European
level, in the development and implementation of
software projects, with particular focus on
designing systems architecture.
PICCARDA PERELLI - CTO
Programming as main occupation since beginning
of working activity, with particular focus on
innovative and specialised solutions for the
management of telephone, fax and vocal systems.
Founding partner and technical director of Datex
s.r.l., for which she was in charge of the
development, implementation at client facilities,
and maintenance of SETHI, a specific
management application (invoicing, CRM, BPM)
addressed to the telecommunications market.
Recently, she has been active in the development
of CRM products through the use of cutting-edge
technology (web tools, object programming, etc.),
in close contact with the Internet world, but also
by activating integration processes with existing
systems.
Currently working on issues tied to the
georeferencing of processes and events,
developing several innovative applications and
using specific instruments.
