Picturesque Boutique
Hotel in Tikal
By David Miskit
Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel
Nearly two years ago, the Las Lagunas Boutique
Hotel opened. Its interior layout is so impressive
that the hotel merited an article completed by
Hotel Chatter, which detailed the hotel, its
amenities, its location and other various appeals.
The boutique hotel is located on a two hundred
acre private reserve, directly between Tikal and
the local airport. As a result, there are only three
options as to how to reach the hotel.
Consumers can rent a car and drive the seven to
eight hour drive all on their own. Alternatively,
public transportation is provided in the form of a
bus ride that takes a slightly shorter time frame, at
seven to eight hours.
Finally, there is a single one hour 鍖ight that is
provided for convenience.
With such long and extensive traveling methods just
to reach the hotel, guests dont merely stop by to
snap some pictures of the establishment; overnight
stays are typically the only answer for consumers.
Being in such a remote location, the design and
surrounding area of the hotel has a deep
emphasis on staying in touch with the outdoors,
working around an existing lagoon and jungle
provided by the private reserve area.

meager seventeen suites. Each room is separated
by the central lobby and situated by a lagoon that
runs the length of the hotel.

lobby to the in-house restaurant to the pool. Most
suites, however, focus on views of the lagoon and
jungle near the hotel.
In the case of the suites, no expense is spared. In
room amenities include hot tubs, enclosed decks
and wood paneled rain showers. Rates for a
