Welcome to Baltimore’s Harlem Park Agrihood
INNOVATION MEETS URBAN ‘GOLD’...
...repurposing found materials for building urban farm
infrastructure to improve fresh food access and food
security.
SOLUTION
Provide access to empower the locals to obtain trans-
ferable skills e.g. learn how to grow food, compost, and
build low-cost/no-cost structures (raised beds, mini-
greenhouses) for self-supporting farm infrastructure.
CLIENT
Local citiznery of Harlem Park in SOWEBO
Opportunities once considered politically impossible are
now politically inevitable for marginalized communities.

Three adjacent 0.04 acre parcels (0.12 acres total) in
close proximity to a major thoroughfare (W Franklin St).
SCALABLE SOLUTION
Repurpose free shipping pallets, and free, reusable
building materials to construct mini-greenhouses,
community compost bins (to build soil), and raised beds.
SERVICE AUDIENCE
Low-/Multi-income workers, millenials, veterans,
retirees, and curbside community populations.

urban agriculture offering can provide ready access to
inner city food deserts, create employment opportuni-
ties, fortify food resiliency, improving the health of the
citizenry serviced.

using innovation to advance disadvantaged citizenry.
