The hotels main lobby corridor included an unsightly view of green houses, untidy potting sheds, and various other clutter. The Marriott needed the corridor screened and wanted something more: a unique design to serve as a welcoming backdrop for arriving guests. RESULT Today, guests entering the Waikiki Marriott Resort see a stunning glass wall without a hint of the unsightly scene behind it. The glass now boasts a unique decorative design that reflects the beauty of the property. Plus, the film offers guests added safety. It serves as a protective barrier against shattered glass in the event of breakage. SOLUTION The Marriott opted to achieve these goals with LLumar decorative film, a product offered in a wide range of colors, textures, designs and translucence (at a fraction of the cost of the next best alternative, etched glass). With the computerized, PrecisionCut system, LLumar window film can be produced in an endless variety of custom patterns, even integrating a corporate logo if desired. The solar performance data reported for LLumar architectural window films was captured using the National Fenestration Rating Councils (NFRC) standard guidelines for window film solar performance measurement as measured on single pane, 1/8 inch (3 mm), clear glass. Reported values are taken from representative product samples and are subject to normal manufacturing variances.
