The author finds the beach to be the ultimate place to escape the pressures of life. When at the beach, all of their obligations are erased as they walk along the soft sand, listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean, and bask in the sun's rays. After swimming in the refreshing ocean water, the author returns to their peaceful spot on the beach to rest. As night falls, the author is reminded of their obligations but looks forward to returning to the beach in the future where all worries disappear.

As I stroll alongIcan feel the softsmoothsandbeneathmyfeet.Iam takeninby the soothing
atmosphere thatencirclesme. Iclose myeyes,lettingmyself absorbthe blisteringraysof the sun ona
scorchingsummerday. I am comfortedbythe soundsof the ocean;the rhythmicpoundingof the waves
repressesall of myworries. Ilookintothe cloudlessceruleanblue skyandsee the perfectionof life.I
oftenwantto be like a seagull,seeminglydriftingendlesslyinthe windwithoutacare in the world.AsI
sitin mychair I can see all the sightsof summer;childrenbuildingsandcastlesalongthe ocean’s edge,
to my rightI observe anelderlycoupleindulgedinagood book. I am soonat the pointwhere myskin
can no longertake the harsh raysof the blisteringsummersun.Irun as fastas my feetcan carry me
towardwhat mybody seesasUtopia,a seeminglyendlesspool of crystal blue water.Idive intothe
crashingwavesheadfirst. The shockof the frigidwatertakesmybreathaway and I am momentarily
stunned. However,Iquicklyrecover;findingmybodyadjustsrapidlytothe coldwater. Floating
peacefullyamongthe waves,Iamunaware of the impendingwavesthatare soonto breakoverme.
Crash! A monstrouswave hasjustovertakenme;itsforce knocksme to the sandybottomof the ocean.
I am refreshedandawakenedasI am carriedback to shore.Exhausted,Ireturntomy peaceful spoton
the beach. I quicklyfindmyself once againbakingunderthe warmthof the summersun.
2. Nowthat I am relaxed,Iallowmyselftoclose myeyesanddriftoff fora peaceful nap.Iam
soonawokenbutthe soundsof birdsscurryingaboutforfoodalongthe shore line.Iopenmyeyes,and
to my surprise,the settingsunhangsinthe skylike ared-orange balloonoff inthe distance. Ifind
myself alone onthe beach. The surf has ceasedto crash onthe shores,the placidwavesgentlyrollonto
the sand. The sky istransformedintoacolorful horizon;filledwithendlessstreamsof purple andblue.
As the daylightfallstothe darknessof nightIcan feel the change intemperature onmyskin.A
chillymistcanbe feltinthe windblowingoff the calmsea.Onmywalkback alongthe sand I am
remindedof those obligationsthathave evadedme onmypeaceful journey.Tomorrow bringsschool
and work;however,Iamnot the leastupset.Ido not see Mondayas the start of a longweekof arduous
work;I see it as a countdown.Six more daysuntil Ican once again be escortedoff tothe place where all
the pressuresandworriesof life seemtojustdisappear.
