GLOBAL MDP
The Center for Sustainable Development (CESDEV) was established by the University of
Ibadan in May 2010 as a demonstration of the Universities commitment to Sustainable
Development. CESDEV happens to be the only University in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan
Africa offering the Global MDP (Masters in Development Practice) program; an
interdisciplinary and professional course. Equally, the University is among the three in the
whole of Africa offering the Global MDP program. CESDEV aims at integrating economic,
social, cultural and environmental objectives in development. The Centre has thus
emerged as a platform for promoting compelling alternative to conventional approaches
to Development, a participatory, holistic and inclusive process that engenders Sustainable
Development.
Fact Sheet of CESDEV:
 The only University in Nigeria offering Global Master of Development Practice
(Global MDP);
 The only University in Sub-Saharan Africa offering Global Master of Development
Practice (Global MDP);
