Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever is the sixth book in the popular children's series. It follows Greg Heffley as he deals with bullies at school and tries to get published in the school newspaper before winter break. When a surprise blizzard hits, it traps Greg and his family indoors. Stuck inside with his brothers Rodrick and Manny, Greg finds their constant torment and competition for parents' attention even more unbearable. The book focuses on Greg and Manny's sibling relationship and how Manny always seems to get his way, unlike Greg.

Greg knows that the police are coming for him when the surprise blizzard hits. The plot thickens as the snow does too, surrounding their house and trapping them inside. This book portrays the dark side of Greg's family and his daily urge to play videogames. He meets his old friend Alfrendo who, he discovers, makes a perfect comic stand. He must suffer the torment of living with his brothers Rodrick and Manny who he feels get more attention than him.

Greg is the perfect average child who has his life "ruined" by siblings. This book will stand the test of time to represent the ups and downs of having siblings.
