FREEDOM FREEDOM PRINT SERVER PRINT SERVER The Latest generation imaging modalities gener- ate thousands of images in each exams hence the radiologist today utilise a fully digital diagnostic workflow, and perform their diagnosis using high quality digital PACS workstations, Though films are no more needed for diagnosis there is still the need to provide hard copies of pa- tient studies to the refereeing physician and pa- tient. most films are printed only for records. Hence there is no need to print images on expensive med- ical grade films. The freedom DICOM print Server is software solu- tion turns a standard printer into a full-featured DI- COM printer. Freedom DICOM print server is able to receive print requests directly from modalitys con- sole, then to translate them to standard Windows print requests, and to forward them to any colour or Gary Scale printer. The Freedom Print Server can also be used to cre- ate Diagnostic Quality electronic film in PDF format files. These can be shared easily with patients/ phy- sician on e-mail, Whatsapp etc. Since the PDF is a universal format the electronic films can be shared offline and viewed on Smartphones, Tablets PC etc. without the loss of quality. The PDF Films can also be used to store the select- ed Images from every patient study for compliance purpose where it is not possible to store all images in a DICOM format. When coupled with a high-quality paper printer, Freedom DICOM print server lets you print radio- logical and other medical images on plain paper at near film quality.
