Indo Rama Synthetics Ltd is planning a 40.5 MW diesel power plant in Butibori, Maharashtra costing an estimated Rs. 1250 million. The plant will be configured as 3 units of 13.5 MW powered by heavy oil and began operations in 1996, with equipment supplied by Wartsila and BHEL. The electricity generated will be used to power Indo Rama's petrochemical and textile facilities.
