Ethics and morals are both used in the
plural and are often regarded as
synonyms, but there is some distinction
in how they are used.
Moral
usually connotes an element of
subjective preference.
while ethics tends to suggest aspects
of universal fairness and the question
of whether or not an action is
responsible of or relating to principles
of right and wrong in
behavior : ETHICAL
Morals Vs Ethics
Morals
• Morals often describes
one's particular values
concerning what is
right and what is
wrong:
• It would go against
my morals to help
you cheat on the test.
Ethics
• While ethics can refer
broadly to moral
principles, one often sees
it applied to questions of
correct behavior within
a relatively narrow area
of activity:
• Our class had a debate
over the ethics of
genetic testing.

2: a principle of right action binding
upon the members of a group and
serving to guide, control, or regulate
proper and acceptable behavior.

They order and structure the behavior of

character. Institutions regulate the behavior of

of knowledge, abilities and specialized skills.
• d) institutions in the realm of law, governance
and politics provide for the maintenance of the
social order
Feelings vs Emotions
Feelings DEF:

bodily consciousness
or sensation.
2 : appreciative or
responsive
awareness or
recognition experien
ce a feeling of
safety.
Emotions DEF
• 1 : a state of
feeling.
• 2 : a conscious
mental reaction
(such as anger or
fear) subjectively
experienced as
strong feeling.
