The document provides details on the photo shoot for a band's album packaging. It summarizes the shots taken for the front cover, back cover, and inside covers. For the front cover, the best photo features three band members arranged evenly. Shots for the back cover showcase the band's instruments and clothes in a pile. Interior photos on the left show the band's faces framed in a greenhouse doorway, while shots on the right provide a desert sky backdrop for the band logo.
2. THE LOCATION
Here is the location of our digi-pack shoot.
We found a setting that was perfectly folky,
with a touch of a Western/Country feel from
3. FRONT COVER
Here are the shots we took for the front cover. We tried our actors in a few different positions, and we were
really happy with our mise-en-scene. We tried a fourth band member (violin player), but the mise-en-scene
didn’t fit in the others. Also, the three band members works well as we have a central character, with another
either side of him, so it looks even. The photo with the red circle around, is our favourite one. We’re happy
4. BACK COVER
Here are the shots we took for the back cover. We wanted to photograph the bands clothes and instruments
in a pile, to visualise the title ‘The Naked Truth’. It is supposed to imply that the band are infact naked
elsewhere. We’re happy with the mise-en-scene we prepared, and I think it was good that we tried different
layouts. We especially like the photos that feature the guitar and cello standing up against eachother. The
photo circled is the one we will use. In editing, the sky will be replaced and the background buildings and
5. INSIDE COVER LEFT
This is the shoot we did for the inside cover on the left. We wanted a picture of the band in which we could
see their heads, to show their true image. We chose this location because the doorway of the greenhouse
creates a good frame for the photo. Also, the lines in the background are very intriguing and interesting.
The circled image is the one we will use. The colours will be edited to match the folk genre conventions.
6. INSIDE COVER RIGHT
These are the shots we took for the right inside cover. We wanted a standard background of a desert
looking sky, which we can put the Standing Stones logo onto. The circled image is the photo we will use, we
like it because of the colours in the sky, and the mist of the trees. We may try to composite the band into
the image, to make it more relatable to the band.
