The document discusses differences between digital natives and digital immigrants in their use of technology. Digital natives, defined as today's students, spend much of their time engaged with digital devices like phones, video games, and the internet rather than reading books. Their brains have adapted to processing multiple streams of information at once from different technological devices. While digital natives are comfortable with technology and use it to accomplish tasks quickly, digital immigrants have adopted technology but have different lifestyle experiences without it.
