Digital storytelling engages students in active learning by allowing them to express themselves through exciting multimedia formats like videos, podcasts, and animations. It can be used in the classroom to make learning subjects like graphs more interesting for students or to have students work together to digitally summarize chapters for tests. Digital storytelling appeals to students who may not typically enjoy writing by bringing a creative medium they can relate to.
