DNV Jute Creations - Bangalore (India) Procurement & Production Supervisor Aug 2009 Feb 2013 Key Tasks Handled: Ensure good housekeeping in the shop floor Delegation of work to operators, work allocation and reallocation as necessary. Supervise packing line operation in accordance with plant policies & procedures & safety practices. To identify the Continuous improvement areas in the responsible areas as well as meet job & department objectives. Ensure proper handling and storage of packed and unpacked material / raw material / finished product in packing & stores General work-in-progress, stores & warehouse management. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Studying production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interpreting company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interpreting specifications prints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Establishing or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Analyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiate or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Other tasks: Supervise employees in the Production Department. I am responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
