What leisure activities could
you take part in, in the area
     around our route.
Day 1
Picture: Luds Church
Day 1 Leg 1
We set off from the Teggs
 Nose Car Park, and walked
down the main path to the
  Leathers Smithy Pub, and
  Trentabank Reservoir. We
    then walked round the
 reservoir , then through the
Trentabank car park. This led
us to the main forest path,
which we took all the way up
to the top gate, which leads
       on the path to the
Shuttlingsloe north west side.
First Activity

 Day: 1

Location: Macc Forest Nr. Trentabank Car Park

 Activity: Mountain Biking

Day 1 Leg 2
    After reaching the top of
Shuttlingsloe, we stopped for
a short while for a snack. We
set off down the other side of
    Shuttlingsloe, trying our
    second recorded activity,
     Fellrunning (one of our
  favourite sports, after pooh
   sticks of course!). We then
took the footpath off the road
down to clough house, where
we had the rest of lunch! We
then set off up the road from
  clough house, leading up to
crag hall, where there was an
open day/party of some king
            going on.
 Day: 1

 Location: Shuttlingsloe, Clough House Side

                                                  Second Activity
 Activity: Fellrunning

Details: After reaching the top of
    Shuttlingsloe, we remembered that the
    Shuttlingsloe And Wildboarclough Fell Race
was taking place. As it was one of our main
activities, we decided to give it a go.
Our Attempt!
Day 1 Leg 3
  We then walked across the
fields to cross the A54, which
cuts across most of the area.
This took us to the moor on
   the other side, which we
  walked across to reach the
  Gradbach area. We walked
past the YHA to the midpoint
 campsite, where we walked
up to the crag nr. Luds
church. One of us ran up to
  Lud's church to take some
photos, then we walked back
to the campsite for some well
          earned rest.

    favourite game, which needed no
    equipment whatsoever. Pooh sticks.

Day 2 Leg 1
  We set off from Gradbach,
  and walked down the road
from the YHA to the hamlet
nearby. We then set off up the
side of the valley to Panniers
 pool, where we saw people,
  having a swim, dirt biking,
and using the rope swing. We
  set off from panniers pool,
and walked up the track on
the hill, at the top of the hill
   there was a small hamlet,
with beehives outside. From a
   small basket outside you
    could buy beeswax and
 handmade postcards etc. an
example of local produce and
               trade.

Day 2 Leg 2
 We then walked back down
the hill, where a dirt bike race
   was taking place. We then
took the path across the fields
and rises until we got to the
road, which we walked along
     to the main junction by
   another hamlet. We then
walked to the top of the next
hill on the road, where we
  stopped for water. We then
took the path across the moor,
    and through the nearby
    farms, where there were
 people quad biking. We then
walked off path up the moors
   to the roaches, where we
            finished.
Activity 4
Climbing
Activity 4 Climbing

Rock climbing another one of our favourite
activities, was the last main activity we observed on
the walk. The roaches is an excellent spot for
climbing, if you have a partner who knows how to
lead, as it is a natural U.K. rock formation, therefore
permanent bolts used for toproping aren't allowed.
