Community Mission aims to create a shared database of individuals, community projects or "missions", and resources that multiple organizations can access and build upon. This would help reduce duplicated efforts across different groups all working on similar goals like recruitment, allow projects to be more easily replicated or adapted locally, and provide a standardized way for governments to manage volunteer initiatives more efficiently. The proposal calls for an initial API and basic website to serve as a proof of concept and pilot the idea.
