Role: I worked for Dundee University as a IT/ Telecom Network Specialist, I work closely with the Universities consultants and contractors putting together framework agreement’s and specification’s for all new works that will be being carried out in a 5 year programme, as part of the new Net Comms Project, this includes all the structured cabling, re-design of comms rooms, all Campus Backbone systems all CCTV and Access Control Campus Wide. Role: Employed in the role of Project Manager 1 on a £23 Million National roll out project, Involved in the latter stages of this project to co-ordinate and manage the Final documentation from Field Implementation Managers. I was engaged for 3 years in the Design and Implementation of an ICT Infrastructure and facilities reconciliation and roll out project upon the merger of Pricewaterhouse and Coopers and Lybrand. HONG KONG AIRPORT-International Computers Limited/Workplace Technologies: Feb 97 to Sep 98 Role: Employed as Contract Operations Manager on the Hong Kong International Airport. My duties included liaisons between the Airport Authority and Airport Maintenance Division Management on behalf of my employer. This included the Defects Liability Period Management where I was responsible for 24-hour standby cover for the Optical Fibre cable Network, managing and utilizing a small team of skilled technicians who form a first line back- up aid to the Airport Maintenance Division. Integral to this role was the management of the Defect Liability budget and monthly financial and progress reporting to the UK based Project Manager. Nov 96 – Feb 97 Workplace Technologies Plc (The New Hong Kong Airport). During this period I was employed as an implementation project manager, subsequently gaining promotion to Contract Manager. My duties where to initiate, supervise and manage the installation, termination, testing and commissioning of the Voice and Data backbone & structured cable networks to the Fixed Communication System and Passenger Terminal Building optical fibre network.
