Dr. Carolyn West has extensive experience researching intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and the sexualization of media. Some key areas of her research include intimate partner violence in ethnically diverse populations, sexual assault among black women and college students, and the impact of sexualized images in popular culture. She has authored over 50 publications on these topics and received several grants to support her research, including a $135,000 grant to study and prevent violence.
