Drake is a Canadian rap artist who was brought up in a poor household by his Jewish Canadian mother after his African American father left. His tough upbringing, where his mother struggled to provide for him, influenced the meaningful and heartfelt music he creates as an adult, where he discusses in his songs the problems he faced while growing up, relationships, family and worrying about fitting in.
