Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was an Indian philosopher and statesman who served as the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. He was born on September 5, 1888 in Tirutani, India. Some of his major achievements include being the second president of India, the first vice president of India from 1952 to 1962, and receiving the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in 1954. He authored several influential books on Indian philosophy, religion, and spirituality.
