7. Scheduling -
Courses at NCTC are Monday/Wednesday or
Tuesday/Thursday. You get a 2 period block in your
schedule. You may be off* on Fridays to study.

9. HOW TO APPLY for NCTC
Fill out ApplyTexas (Feb. 23rd during
tutorial time, 2:40) with NCTC staff.
We will send your transcript.
You must meet TSI (reading, writing,
and/or math depending on course you
want to enroll in) through STAAR English
II, SAT, or ACT or take TSI at NCTC.
You will complete college 101 (at NCTC)
when you visit on March 23rd.

You will schedule a time to take the TSI at the
college. Your contact there is Mrs. Charise
Bewley.
Cost is $10 per section/$25 for all 3
Visit NCTCs testing site to complete the pre-
assessment activity before you test.
You will take the TSI on the computer and you
can retake it if you do not pass.
You can choose which sections you want to
take depending on the courses you are taking.

Meningitis Vaccine -
required only for classes taken at college campus.
NCTC will need a copy of your shot record (we
will send), and you may need a meningitis
vaccination.
Meningitis vaccinations must be administered
within the five-year period immediately
preceding, and at least 10 days prior to the
first semester enrolled or re-enrolled at
NCTC.
Give us a copy of the meningitis vaccine and
also take a copy to NCTC.

17. How TO Register for NCTC
Counselors fill out your registration form.
You will pick up this form in August.
You must have a 3.0 GPA (academic dual
credit) or 2.0 GPA (technical dual credit)
and be in good standing regarding
attendance in order to register.
You are not guaranteed a seat in your
class until you register! Online classes fill
up quickly, and we cannot predict who
from the community will register for
classes at NCTC.
