The document discusses the dangers of firearms finished with DuraCoat, a durable two-part coating, appearing like toys due to their coloration. It notes that while DuraCoat provides a hardened, long-lasting finish, the colorful coatings it enables could mislead officers into thinking a real gun is a toy. Examples of different finished firearms intended to illustrate this risk are then shown.

DuraCoat is a two part chemical coating. Unlike other
firearm finishes, DuraCoat was created specifically for
firearms.
DuraCoat is permanent. With normal use, a firearm
finished with DuraCoat will last several lifetimes.
DuraCoat is dry to the touch in 20 minutes, can be
handled in 1 hour and is ready for use overnight.
Although DuraCoat will gain most of its final hardness,
elasticity and chemical resistance over a 2-3 week
period.
