eMedia QuickStart Guides:
Blackboard Introduction

There are two ways to access Blackboard:

Option A: Click on the Blackboard Quick
Link from the Intranet home page
(http://intranet.rvc.ac.uk). If you do this

whilst on campus, you will not need to enter
your username and password; instead you
will automatically be logged in.

Option B: In your browser address bar type
https://www.ble.ac.uk, and login with your
RVC username and password.

From your Blackboard home page you can
access your courses and organisations. These
are listed in the Courses: Quick View and
My Organizations boxes, near the bottom of
the page. Click on the title of the course or

organisation to access the materials. If you
need access to additional courses, email
blackboard@rvc.ac.uk with the details.

For access to useful resources from the
Library and veterinary search tools such as

Vetstream, click on the Useful Resources tab.
You will find movie demos and printa printable
guides to using Blackboard under the
Support Guides for Staff / Students section
on this page. This area also contains software
guides for Office applications.

You can self enrol on previous Blackboard
courses, and organisation areas from the
Blackboard home page. Click on the Past
Courses or Organisations and Societies link
in the My Blackboard section. Choose the
course you are interested in and click Enroll.
