1. Acceptance of the agenda
The agenda was accepted without changes.
2. Round of introductions
Tomas led the round of introductions.
3. News from NLM & HealthReach
Dianne Babski updated us on whats going on in NLM.
New PubMed
揃 New PubMed is released in September 2019.
揃 Both current and new PubMed will run in parallel for several months.
揃 New PubMed can be tested at PubMed Labs: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pubmed/
Health Reach
揃 NLM is going through a reorganization. In the same time, the variety of databases is evaluated and some
of the overlapping services will be merged. For now, HealthReach continue. It will be seen, whether Health
Reach remains an independent database or is merged to Medline Plus.
Dianne also told us about the changes in PubMed LinkOut, articifial intelligence used in MeSH-indexing, dataset
links to PuMed-references and many other interesting developments.

4. News from WHO
Tomas informed us the main news from WHO.
WHO Academy
WHO will build a WHO Academy in Lyon, France. The Academy is still in very early stage, but the aim is to give
high-quality education to health professionals around the world, especially to professionals from low and middle-
income countries. The WHO Academy campus will offer good learning environments, health emergencies
simulation centre and collaboration spaces.
Distance learning
In the coming years WHO will put a lot of emphasis on distance training, in many different languages, especially
for professionals working in low and middle-income countries. The goal is to ensure life-long learning for health
professionals around the world.
