This document discusses using ecological thinking as a model for teaching. It proposes that ecological thinking can provide a more intentional and dynamic pedagogy that is scalable across courses and curriculum. Ecological thinking emphasizes interdisciplinary engagement, place-based and experiential learning, integrative curriculum design, and systems thinking. It also suggests that ecological thinking can scale up participation and engagement across the entire college through community involvement, work experiences, and collaboration between academics and application. Overall, the document argues that ecological thinking can create a resilient and adaptive educational model that is multi-scale, interdependent, and deeply interconnected.
