There is an ecommerce expectation shift being driven from the top-down and bottoms-up, which is turning 2-day shipping into a must-have. As Christopher Mims at the Wall Street Journal put it, "life, liberty, and 2-day shipping." At the top, we have Amazon, Walmart, Target and others making 2-day (or even 1-day) shipping a reality for nearly all products for all Americans. And from the bottoms-up, we have consumers demanding instantaneous satisfaction at their finger tips. From Google to Uber to Amazon, "I want it now!"
