Introduction In this power point, we will be viewing some of the world¡¯s most famous monuments; learning their location and discovering some cool facts about each one.
Statue of Liberty This monument is located in our very own country in Washington D.C. While you are visiting this monument, choose your favorite picture of Lady Liberty from the picture icons given on Google Earth. Why is this your favorite?
Eiffel Tower This famous monument is found in Paris, France. While you¡¯re here, try to find a way to get underneath the eiffel tower for a real-life view of it¡¯s splendor. What is unique about this monument?
Taj Mahal Located in Agra, India, this monument is widely known as ¡°The jewel of Muslim art in India.¡± See if you can get close enough to see the calligraphy on the walls of the Taj Mahal.
Leaning Tower of Pisa The Tower of Pisa is known for its unintended tilt. It is located in Pisa Toscana, Italy. Can you find where the bells are in the tower? (Hint: there is a panoramic photo of the tower that shows them)
Great Sphinx of Giza Commonly known as ¡°The Sphinx,¡± this striking monument is located west of the Nile river in Giza, Egypt. How does this monument differ from the others?
