? The most used concept in the music video industry especially for pop music is a
fast cut montage
? It is very quick and adds to the fast rhythm of most modern music and helps to
portray a certain emotion.
WHAT IS EDITING USED FOR?
? It is used to make the video a required length.
? It is cut with the song in mind to ensure that it compliments the song and adds to
the effect that the artist is trying to portray.
? To alter between events/locations during the song.
? To establish a style of the production.
? To help create links/relationships between artist/events.
TRANSITIONS/CUTS
? The most popular transition is the ‘cut’ where the clip is instantaneously replaced
