- 3. When filming we were able to adjust the lens to adjust the focus of the shot. This enabled us to focus on certain objects in the foreground and blur the background. This highlights the rule of thirds as it becomes clearer to see that foreground, middle and background. This was easier to do while filming rather than to accomplish this during the editing, it created a nice effect on our teaser trailer, adding a professional touch to it.
