Remember the time when all settings and adjustments had to be performed directly at the output device? No more! The deal gets even better when those encoders can handle more than one reception method and thus can be used almost universally. In a nutshell, encoders hitting the market these days are not only convenient to operate and to customise, they also can be used for a wider range of applications than ever before. Whats even better is that those added features and capabilities wont break the bank, since prices keep coming down as well. As a very pleasant consequence, those innovative encoders now get into the reach of smaller-scale cable operators or even private individuals contemplating their own Internet TV channel. In the latter case, a wide range of accepted input signals is paramount, including older technologies such as analog video, for example.
