What ispedagogy? The pedagogy at Piaget says that it is a method which the educator must use to adapt the student in a learning situation by building the child's interest so that he or she can understand and act
According to Freire, pedagogy isthe formation of individuals through everyday situations. His liberating pedagogy proposes two different moments. In the first stage, the individualmust become aware of the reality inwhich he lives, as a subject of oppression. In the second moment, the oppressed will fight against the oppressors to free themselves.
Murray: Pedagogy seems to be connected to the ideas of training and discipline with the purpose ofdeveloping the well-trained person but directed to certain "micro-purposes". It is also related to individual discipline, behavior and presentation standards that incorporate the idea of training for political, social and economicpurposes.
Hegel there is no society without education, for it is the expressionof reason that tries to establish freedom and make it a common practice He considered education to be a means of training which makes it possible to achieve the perfection of the human being, on the basis of intellectual and moral training. DIFFERENCES Pedagogy is a processed approach to teaching something. For example, if you took piano lessons from a pianist trained in piano pedagogy, they would know what to teach you first, then second, then third- leading to you knowing how to play the piano. It would be pretty structured and sequential. However, teacher was teaching you very specific songs followed by very specific tests and activities- that would be a curriculum. Curriculums are very specific and structured. Pedagogy is structured, but not specific- so curriculum is always part of a pedagogy but there may be multiple curriculums connected to the same pedagogy. EDUCATION PEDAGOGY Practical part Conscious or unconscious Object of study Parameters and norms that delimit the art of educating only on a physical plane. Theoretical part Conscious and reflective Science Process of perfecting the body and soul Education, however, is a much broader term. Whereas pedagogy is structured, education may be structured or it may not be. Most of us receive an education- whether you went to an private school or learned how to farm by helping your dad in the contryside. We all need to learn in order to do what we need to do- and all of that falls under the umbrella of education. So pedagogy also falls under the term education, but not all learning is part of a pedagogy
