High school Age 12  16/17/18 years Goal: - emotional and intellectual development - prepare for your professional specialization (your next study) - learn to respect the different kind of people and their ideas and believes Partly paid by the government Obligatory until the age of 16
High school Choice of school Public, religious or other pedagogical typed schools Group classification VMBO 4 years, HAVO 5 years and VWO 6 years School hours Average of 32 hours a week Subjects  For example Dutch, English, French, math, geography, physical education, CKV  (Cultural and Artistical Education),   history Final exams School exams and central school exams
