As more and more people gain access to the Internet, an increasing number
dont know how to use it. Eduwis, derived from educational wisdom, offers
online workshops and seminars to help people use the Internet and find
out how it can improve their lives. There is no age limit and no language
barrierthe system is 100 percent digital and people learn at their own
pace, in their own time. Today, Kalpesh Karnawat, the founder of Eduwis, is
supported by 13 freelance coordinators. It helps that Eduwis is becoming
a movement: when Kalpesh and his colleagues give lectures to people,
members of the audience often come up with ideas themselves.
Kalpesh is in love with online technology and Eduwis is thoroughly rooted
in his own experience. Hes also an active member of the Pune Google
Business Group in India. Google introduced Kalpesh to another world,
helped him learn English and grow a profitable website business. As far as
hes concerned, Google was instrumental in building his career and now
hes decided to help other people. So, its not surprising that Eduwis uses
every resource Google has to offer.
We show people that the Internet can make a difference.
Kalpesh Karnawat, founder, Eduwis
For Kalpesh, the results of Eduwiss work are instant and satisfying. As he
says, We show people that the Internet can make a difference. When I
deliver a lecture, people react immediately. For instance, if I tell people
to change from a regular handset to a multimedia smartphone, they do
so right away. In less than 2 years, Eduwis has already trained over 35
organizations and has transformed the lives of 3,000 people. Now, apart
from working on a general expansion program, Kalpesh wants to deliver
the benefits of Eduwis to businesses and professionals like lawyers and
doctors to help them take their companies to the next level.
