bmi.gv.at Emergency numbers in Austria The federal states (governors) are responsible of the following national emergency numbers: 122 fire brigade 128 gas failure 140 mountain rescue 141 medical service 144 rescue service The federal states (archdiocese) are responsible of the emergency number: 142 telephone counseling The Austrian radio (ORF) is responsible of emergency number: 147 emergency call for children and young people NG112 status on implementation in Austria 3 individual PSAP in each state (rescue control centers, fire control centers, integrated control centers with rescue and fire brigade, etc.)

bmi.gv.at NG112 / DEC112 Implementation the Federal Ministry of the Interior relies on international standards: ETSI TS 103 479 Emergency Communications (EMTEL); Core elements for network independent access to emergency services ETSI TS 103 698 Emergency Communications (EMTEL); Lightweight Messaging Protocol for Emergency Service Accessibility (LMPE) Order of the minister to develop NG112 and start with the implementation of DEC112 anchorage of the core services in national law (new telecommunication act will come into effect) NG112 status on implementation in Austria 8
