Eid is a Muslim holiday celebrated twice a year that marks times of religious significance. On Eid, Muslims wear new clothes, exchange greetings with family and friends, and enjoy meals including sweets and traditional dishes. There are two main Eid holidays: Eid al-Fitr marks the end of fasting during Ramadan, while Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. Typical celebrations on Eid days involve attending morning prayers at a mosque, giving children money, cooking meat dishes like fried, barbecued, or grilled meat to share with others, and spending time with relatives.
