This document presents the Spanish alphabet with an example word for each letter. It lists letters A through Z, including unique letters like Ch, Ll, and Rr. While the Royal Spanish Academy removed Ll and Rr as separate letters in 1994, this document includes them because of their distinct pronunciations, and notes that some Latin American countries still consider Rr a separate letter.
32. Although the Real Academia in Madrid, Spain,
removed the letters ch, ll, and rr as separate
entries in 1994 from the Spanish alphabet, I
have included ll and rr in this presentation for
their unique sound qualities when pronounced.
It should also be noted that in in the Americas
many Hispanic countries still recognize rr as a
separate letter of the alphabet.
