SOLIDS
 THEY HAVE A DEFINITE SHAPE AND A DEFINITE
VOLUME BECAUSE THEY TAKE UP THE SAME
SPACE.
LIQUIDS
 LIQUIDS DON`T HAVE A DEFINITE SHAPE
BECAUSE THEY ADAPT TO THE CONTAINER
THERE ARE IN, BUT THEY HAVE A DEFINITE
VOLUME BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS TAKE UP THE
SAME SPACE.
GASES
 GASES don`thave a definite shape because
they adapt to the shape of the container
they are in and they don`t have a definite
volume because they spand to fill the
container they are in.
CHANGES IN MATTER
 PHYSICAL CHANGES CAN HAPPEN WHEN
MATTER CHANGE STATE AND SHAPE ,BUT THE
SUBTANCE DOESN`T CHANGE. PHYSICAL
CHANGES CAN HAPPEN WHEN WE HEAT,
FREEZE,BEND,TWIST,STRETCH OR SQUASH A
SUBSTANCE.
CHEMICAL CHANGES
 A CHEMICAL CHANGE IS WHEN A NEW
SUBSTANCE IS PRODUCED.
 CHEMICAL CHANGES CAN HAPPEN WHEN WE
BURN A SUBTANCE OR EXPOSE A SUBTANCE TO
AIR.
MIXTURES
 A MIXTURE IS SOMETHING THAT CONTAINS TWO
OR MORE SUBTANCES.AIR IS A MIXTURE OF
GASES.SALTWATER IN THE SEA IS A MIXTURE OF
WATER,SALT AND OTHER MINERALS.MANY
ROCKS ARE A MIXTURE OF DIFFERENT
MINERALS.
HETEROGENOUS
 IN A HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURE IT IS EASY TO
SEE THE DIFERENTS SUBSTANCES.
HOMOGENEOUS
 IN A HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE IT IS DIFFICULT
TO SEE THE DIFERENT SUBTANCES.
