Erica Levy-Ringel is a professional freelance writer and copyeditor with over 15 years of experience writing
for diverse audiences in myriad fields. Erica had her start as a high school English teacher, and as she
expanded her work into educational consulting, her writing career began with several published articles
aimed toward teachers and administrators.
Most of Ericas recent writing has been for a business audience, focusing on accountability and multiple
bottom lines. For Brand Potential, a consultancy that helps companies to clarify and articulate their social
responsibility efforts, Erica has worked on reports for several Fortune 500 companies. For EBSCO
publishing, she has researched and written over 40 articles on topics ranging from the Kyoto Protocol to
teleworking to chemical controls in South America. Working with subject-matter experts, Erica also recently
authored an American history textbook and part of a sociology textbook.
Erica is also comfortable writing more traditional business prose and web content. Over the past several
years, Erica has written blogs for an orthopedics office and a food-service company as well as content for
several websites. She regularly writes proposals for an industrial equipment broker.
As a former English teacher and tutor, Erica is well-versed in the rules and conventions of proper grammar
and syntax. More importantly, however, she is a careful reader for content, tone, and flow. Erica feels that all
writing, no matter how complex, should be accessible and preferably enjoyable to read.
