Virtual learning environments (VLEs) are web-based programs that help people learn various topics. A VLE provides tools for assessment, communication, content uploading, student work submission, peer assessment, student group administration, grade collection and organization, questionnaires, tracking, and more. Features include wikis, blogs, RSS feeds, and 3D virtual learning spaces. VLEs allow for quick and simple learning that is accessible anywhere at any time. They present lessons through diagrams, text, and interactive sections to aid learning. VLEs also track time spent and module completion.
