Emphysema Cure A Logical Approach
Following Doctor's Orders My mother was diagnosed with emphysema in 2003. She promptly quit smoking and began taking all of the prescribed medications including Spiriva, Advair and Combivent as her rescue inhaler. She also used Albuterol Sulfate in her nebulizer 4 times a day. She was prescribed Prednisone every 3 or 4 months for reducing inflammation. She was also prescribed antibiotics at about the same frequency for secondary infections. She took Mucinex almost daily which dried up the excess mucus in her llungs. The doctor said these medications and emphysema treatments would slow the progress of the disease. After nearly two years she was noticeably worse and the disease seemed like it was accelerating.
Medications Stop Working By January 2006 her doctor wrote in her medical record, "End Stage Emphysema." She had deteriorated down to only 77 pounds and required 4 liters of continuous supplemental oxygen. She could only eat very small amounts of food and only sleep for about an hour at a time. I understood why the doctor called it "End Stage Emphysema." I wondered each night if she would survive until morning so I made coffee at 11:30 and stayed up all night so I could check on her. One by one over the next few months the medications and emphysema treatments stopped providing relief as they once had. They had never provided any healing or lasting improvement but now they did not even provide the temporary relief that they had in the beginning.
Emphysema Mystery When I asked my mother's doctor why her emphysema continued getting worse so long after smoking cessation he replied, "We don't know why emphysema gets worse so long after the patient stops smoking. It's a mystery." I decided right then and there that I would research emphysema until either I solved the big mystery or my mom took her last breath. I had been researching every night since her diagnosis but most of the searches online put me back at some pharmaceutical company's web site stating the disease was terminal and its progression a mystery. I realized these guys did not have the information I was looking for.
Logical Emphysema Cause It seemed as if something was growing or proliferating in my mother's lungs, some unknown pathogen. I had taken a graduate level course in Pathology many years earlier and remembered ALL pathogens eat sugar. The only sugar they have available is systemic sugar resulting from sugary foods or simple carbohydrates. These foods overload the bloodstream with sugar faster than the beta cells in your pancreas can produce insulin for its active transport across the cell membrane. This well fed pathogen was proliferating in my mother's lungs. Her body adapted and distended her lungs creating additional surface area for breathing. This additional surface area was then used by the pathogen which prompted more lung distention, and so on.
End Stage Emphysema This back and forth of the pathogen proliferating and the lungs distending continued until the distended lungs began crowding my mother's stomach. This made normal-sized meals impossible and caused severe weight loss. She ended up looking like "skin and bones" weighing only 77 pounds and on 4 liters of oxygen, gasping for air most of the time. Most emphysema patients do not last long once they get to this latter stage but like I said earlier, I had decided I would continue researching the disease until I either solved the mystery or my mother took her last breath. It was obvious her last breath was not far off so I began by removing the pathogen's food supply out of desperation.
Improvement Begins Once the pathogen began starving, it stopped proliferating. Stopping the proliferation also stopped the disease progression and my mother stopped getting worse and even started getting a little better. I was amazed that anything worked at all! I had been thoroughly brainwashed by the medical and pharmaceutical industries who assured me there was nothing that would cure the disease or stop its progression. They were very educated and sounded like they knew what they were talking about so I had listened to them. At this point I was irrate. Something as simple as removing sugar and simple carbohydrates like bread and cereal from my mother's diet had stopped the progression of the disease and even caused some minor improvement in only two weeks time.
Applying the Research At this point I was done listening to the medical and the pharmaceutical industries. They had almost killed my mother with their expensive drugs and now someone with an engineering degree (me) applying logic and elementary pathological principles had stopped emphysema in its tracks! I began applying everything else I had found in my research. By this time my research totalled more than 6500 hours. I found a way of reducing inflammation, I found a way of amplifying my mother's immune response eliminating the need for additional doses of antibiotics, I found a way of breaking up the large clumps of mucus so my mother could cough them up instead of drying them up with Mucinex, I found a way of getting her body in a state that was non-conducive for any disease including emphysema and I found a way of replacing important factors destroyed by antibiotics.
Recovery from Emphysema Within a few months of applying my research to my mother's daily regimen she had an appointment with her doctor. At this point she had re-gained 6 pounds of the weight she had lost. She could sleep 3 or 4 hours without waking and eat about half the amount of food a normal adult would eat. She only required 3 liters of oxygen and was not experiencing any distress. The physical improvements were very obvious. Her mental state had also improved. Once that dark cloud was lifted my mother's improvement started accelerating! She was happy and energetic and so was I. Her doctor was shocked. I don't think he expected her to live long enough to make it to the appointment. He left her in the treatment room and asked me, "What have you been doing? She's getting better!"
