Overcoming challenges in harnessing satellite data could provide new opportunities to combat poverty among smallholder rice farmers in Tanzania. These farmers face obstacles such as high fertilizer costs, competition from Asian rice imports, and limited knowledge on sustainably improving yields, as directed by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
