National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is an annual event in November where participants challenge themselves to write a 50,000 word novel in just 30 days. To achieve this, writers must produce around 1,667 words per day. NaNoWriMo aims to help participants unleash their creativity by focusing on just writing without editing. Writers sign up online and track their progress towards the 50,000 word goal. Eastern Michigan University will support participants through write-ins, marathons, and social media encouragement to help them meet the challenging word count deadline.
