Wind energy is a clean and sustainable source that can provide large-scale energy through wind farms. A genetic algorithm was used to optimize the layout of turbines in a sample 4km x 4km wind farm, evolving over generations to find an arrangement that maximized energy output. This layout achieved a high percentage efficiency of 93.7% compared to theoretical maximum output, showing the effectiveness of the optimization approach. However, further optimization may be site-specific and require significant additional resources.
