The Paragraph We chose our piece of writing from the News letter of Defense Club. Pictorial evidence of which is shown
Details Total number of sentences were four. We categorized them according to the hand- outs and the lectures being taught by maam.
Sentence no. 1 Every-one wants to have a good sleep as soon as he or she goes to bed. Its a Simple Sentence, Because it contains the subject and a verb. Every-one (Subject) Goes & Sleep (Verb)
Sentence no 2 But there are a very few lucky ones who have a sound and peaceful sleep specially the one who have advanced in age or are having very busy and hectic schedule. Its a Compound Sentence It contains two independent clauses, joined by a coordinators (FANBOYS).
Whats FANBOYS? F For A And N Nor B But O Or Y Yet S So
Sentence no 3 There is a general complaint of not having a sound sleep or it takes a long time before one falls to sleep. This is a Simple Sentence. One is the subject and Verb is Sleep.
Sentence no 4 If one does not have proper sleep at night, one does not get up fresh next morning and remains restless the whole day. This is a Complex Sentence. Independent clause, joined by one or more dependent clauses.
