This document discusses gender equality in sports. It notes that while equality has improved, with women now able to participate in most major sports, inequalities still exist. Specifically, the founder of the Olympics originally said a woman's body could not handle the physical stresses of sports. However, the document emphasizes that today women can participate in sports like boxing, hockey, sumo wrestling, and others that were traditionally only for men. It concludes by stating that gender should not define or separate athletes.
2. Equality in sport is very important
thing. Especially gender equality
should be always respected, but
women sometimes are in worse
position than men.
3. Gender equality in sports has always been
a controversial topic. Even the founder of
the modern Olympics, Baron Pierre de
Coubertin, said in 1896, “No matter how
toughened a sportswoman may be, her
organism is not cut out to sustain certain
shocks.”
Although gender equality has come a long
way, including UNESCO recognizing sports
and physical activity as a human right in
1978, it still hasn’t come far enough.
4. Today is already a lot better. Women can do every
sports as a men. Including:
-boxing -hockey
-sumo -basketball
-horseriding -football
-tennis
-rugby
And many other sports, which were reserved only
for men through ages.

Women and men should be seen as, and
treated as, equals in all respects. Gender
should not be the thing that defines us or
separates us from our fellow athletes.
