The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program allows new entrepreneurs (NEs) to spend 1-6 months working with experienced host entrepreneurs (HEs) in another EU country. Intermediary organizations (IOs) match NEs and HEs and help administer the program. NEs apply online, get matched with interested HEs by IOs, and then IOs help the NE and HE establish agreements and prepare for the exchange. During the stay, IOs provide on-site support to the NE. The goal is for NEs to gain skills for starting an SME by learning from an experienced entrepreneur in another EU country.
