1968 The first electro static headphones were produced with less distortion and less weight. 1979 The last contribution of the 70s era was HV line of light weight headphones. 1980 Circulamar cans enclosing the ear. Those that sit lightly on the ear with a piece of padding.
2001 Apple didnt invent the ear bud but the iPod made them very popular. 2003 While the white iPod were iconic, Skullcandy took headphones to another level with designs and graphics on them. 2008 Beats By Dr. Dre came out and were priced at a 3 digit number.
