The eSante™MITA Solution This April, Cognosante officially launched the eSante™ MITA software solution. eSante™ MITA provides support for Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) architecture projects and Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) State Self Assessments (SS-A). eSante™ MITA provides a number of value-added capabilities to enable such self-assessment (SA) support, which include:  Templates and tools to define Medicaid Business Architectures, Information Architectures, and Technical Architectures  Business Models and maturity models for standard Medicaid processes; the capability to manage complex information and conduct ALL modeling activities  Requirements management with full traceability functions for Medicaid business, technical and information requirements throughout the system development lifecycle  Support for the full lifecycle of MITA project activities; storage of SS-A data and generation of reports (Scorecards, SS-A, Roadmap, etc.)  Tracking of MITA capabilities to requirements for RFPs during the procurement process (as a replacement or enhancement) o Determines which requirements increase MITA maturity Determines alignment with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Seven Conditions and Standards  Enhanced search capabilities to allow for identification of elements defined in the model and to locate business processes – either by name or by “As Is” and “To Be” level  Drag-and-drop functionality provides efficient user-based generation of any State-specific information  Employment of hierarchal packages and artifacts to showcase the data gathered for each MITA business process o Business description and steps o Capabilities o Shared data o Activity diagrams o Reports  Capability for new business processes to be created in the same form and State-specific business processes to be added within the tool  Maintenance of documentation, data, and reports within the tool o The tool also allows the use of external links – via standard web and intranet hyperlinks – as well as embedded objects For more information, contact us directly at communications@cognosante.com.
