Kronsberg, a suburb of Hannover, Germany, was developed beginning in 1995 as a model of sustainable urban planning and construction. The development incorporated [1] compact neighborhoods connected by public transit and bike paths, [2] energy-efficient buildings and renewable energy sources, and [3] abundant green spaces. Now home to over 7,000 residents, Kronsberg has achieved significant reductions in energy use and waste through its innovative planning and emphasis on public health, transportation, and environmental protection.

INTRODUCTION Kronsberg was built for 2000 hectares site located in the southeas of Hannover, Germany. The Kronsberg district (Hannover, Germany) presents a comprehensive example of visionary urban planning and construction Kronsberg is a settlement with exceptionally high ecological standards, buildings offering above-average quality of accommodation and semi-natural open space design Hannover has large green areas, with forest and big park.

Developers are required to use materials for construction that are non-toxic and recyclable, 80% of construction waste was not landfilled. Systems for pre-sorted waste collection, encouragement of home composting, and encouragement for retailers to use low-packaging retail goods were part of the domestic and household waste plan Home composting

Light rail (Stadtbahn) -Located: Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany -Number of stations: 196 stations (including 19 underground stations, and 119 high-platform stations) -The Stadtbahn opened on 29 September 1975 -Operating on 121 kilometres -it transported 125 million passengers per year
Pedestrians & Bicycle -A cycle-friendly street -Attractive alternative to to private motorised transport Bicycle Lane Pedestrian and bicycle crossings in Germany A rental bicycle station in the city center.
Parking space: Car parking spaces are mainly arranged in small areas, either set into the hill-side or at ground level. To reduce the parking space needs in the inner courts, a parking space ratio of 0.8 per apartment was set at Kronsberg. This was compensated for by a 0.2 increase in the ratio for parking spaces on the public streets, which means that they are better used over the day, and the area needed for motorised access in built-up areas is reduced. Cycle priority layout: A cycle-friendly street layout with a designated cycle street running the length of the district offers, together with a dense network of rural and urban footpaths, an attractive alternative to private motorised transport.
GREEN SPACE Hannover - "The green City" -City forests, parks and recreational areas make Hannover the greenest metropolis in Germany -Every year, the Environment and Parks Department plants between 500 and 750 new roadside trees, earning the capital city of Lower Saxony the title of Germanys greenest city. Around 45,000 trees line the streets of Hannover Green spaces make up 11.36 per cent of the surface area many natural habitats and recreational area Green roof
Hannovers benefits as a green city and perfect place to live, Cycling is the ideal way to explore the green city of Hannover Lake Steinhude is the largest inland lake in North-West Germany and a popular destination for excursions metropolis on the River Leine
